  1. how come its says “mica” at the INCI if its color is natural? isnt mica a color?

    • That’s a great question! Mica actually isn’t a colorant all by itself, it’s a neutral off-white color on its own. If you look at the INCI listing for your favorite micas you will see that there is also oxide or FD&C dye – and that’s what gives the mica its color. Mica is a mineral mined from the earth and is added to our Brazilian clay to help them not get clumpy. The Brazilian Clays are not sparkly – despite having mica in them.
