Bronze Mica: This Bronze Mica takes first place in our book. It is a true and shimmery bronze that is great for that sun-kissed look. It sparkles in clear melt and pour soap and makes the best mineral make up bronzer. To create a good color in cold process soap, we used 1 teaspoon of colorant (about 0.15 oz before dispersing) in 1 pound of soap.

Safe for use in eye shadows

To use this mica in Melt and Pour Soap: Wet the mica with rubbing alcohol until a liquid slurry is made. This usually is about a 1:1 mix of mica and rubbing alcohol. Add the desired amount of the slurry to the melted soap and stir to combine.

To use this mica in Cold Process Soap: Combine the mica with a light, liquid oil such as sweet almond or sunflower oil. Mix the mica at a rate of 1 Tbsp of oil to 1 tsp of mica. Increase the amounts as needed. Add this color mixture at trace.

A comment and a question
I love all the color micas I have purchased. My question is in using them in the nail polish base I love the colors I am getting but I wondered if there is anything I can do so it only takes two coats instead of the 4 it is taking to give the solid color. It is to sheer at 2 or 3. But 4 does it. Thanks for all your wonderful products and the wonderful help n tips. Thank you Lynne

Hi Lynne! I'm so glad you love all of our micas, including the Bronze Mica! It sounds like you may need to add more mica to the nail polish base to achieve a deeper color. I will email you personally to help troubleshoot!

Looks Too Much Like Copper!
I'm disappointed in this color because when I look through the jar, it appears to be Bronze BUT, looking in the jar (and in the finished product) it's near identical to the BB Copper Micas (orangey)! I had to add drops of LO Blue to get a true bronze color.

Hi Tina! I'm sorry you were disappointed with this color. We love the Bronze Mica and the beautiful and shimmery bronze hue it gives our products as shown in the  Shine Bright: Bronze Series + Bronzing Lotion Recipe. I will email you personally to discuss this further!
