Chai Tea: As a drink, Chai Tea is a wonderfully warm and comforting drink as a fun alternative to coffee (it still has a good wallop of caffeine in it as well)! As a fragrance oil, it has a traditional Earl Grey Tea scent with delicious citrus notes of Bergamot and Sicily Lemon along with a base and heart notes of Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Tahitian Vanilla and a little bit of Allspice. This is a sweet, buttery fragrance oil with a touch of spice that will discolor your soaps a delightful rich brown color.

Vanilla Content: 4%

This fragrance is phthalate free.

Not quite chai
Seems I am more and more disappointed with the fragrances I purchase. I was expecting this fragrance to smell like cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and ginger. Doesn't smell anything like chai to me. Paid a lot to be disappointed.

Hi Samantha! I'm sorry this scent wasn't your favorite. If you're looking for spicy scents, you may like Arabian Spice Fragrance Oil, Pumpkin Spice Fragrance Oil, or Spiced Mahogany Fragrance Oil. Also, you can request samples of our fragrances before you buy them. To request a sample, leave a note in the "Order Notes" section on That section appears at the bottom of the screen after you've paid for your order. :)

Moves Fast
Been meaning to make a batch with this fragrance for a while, and thought it would be a good fall scent. I used at 1 oz ppo, cold process soap using black tea rather than water for the liquid. Soaped at 30% lye solution (a slight water discount) at around 100 degrees. Moved very fast. Barely got it into the mold. Given that its a spice fragrance, which often move fast, this isn't that unexpected. Next time I'll do true room temp. We'll see how it looks when cut. Hope it sells well.

Just as described
I love this scent! I meant to rate it the first time I got it as a sample but it completely slipped my mind. I used it in lotion. Some loved it some didn't (to my surprise) but those who loved it ordered more and I sold out. The second time around it was my priority to rate this oil. I love everything about it. I must admit that overtime, the lotion took on a cake frosting scent (no complaints to that like I said, they ordered more).

Beautiful scent!
A friend of mine loves chai latte, so I decided to make him some soap! I used coffee as the liquid and a small amount of coffee scent with this and presto chai latte! The scent is so yummy. I would highly recommend this scent for all that love chai.

My CP Soap
I used this in a cp batch this weekend, and went with 1 oz ppo (just because that's what I do). I hope the fragrance stays the way it is now, it is definitely not overpowering with that much. I never use a stick blender with new fragrances & it traced pretty quick with just the spoon, so I wasn't real comfortable with trying to go for a swirl. Day 3 though it looks awesome, though much lighter in color than the picture above. I suspect it will get darker as it ages, though, which I like. I will more more lotion to match, I think it will be popular, and I will likely be buying this again.
