Deodorized Cocoa Butter (white) -
This cocoa butter is practically odorless. Use it in your lotions, soaps and balms when you don't want the warm chocolate-y undertone of regular cocoa butter. It is a neutral white color (unlike the regular cocoa butter which is a deep eggshell white).

INCI: Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter

not white, but not really a problem
While I agree that this CB is not white, for the most part that is not a problem - at least, not for me, as I have long since resigned myself to never having pure white soap. (Soap is the ONLY thing that I make.) I make CP soap and generally scent it with an EO or FO; I haven't noticed any cocoa or chocolate smell coming through in the soap when using this CB product. I have purchased white deodorized cocoa butter from another vendor, but that product is poured into and hardened in a jar, which I frankly find a real hassle to dig out and weigh. I find these chunks (which sometimes are a bit TOO big, which then requires me to hack them) much easier to deal with. If this CB really were white, I would give it a 5 star rating, but I'm satisfied enough with it - and will continue to buy it. (I was disappointed to see that it is currently out of stock, as I came onsite just to buy some more!)

Good Product
I read the other reviews about this product, and I can only say that I purchased 2lb back in November and was quite satisfied with it. Yes, it is a yellowish color, but for the lotion bars I make that wasn't an issue. There was only a very light odor and I had no trouble using fragrance with this product.

Not Deodorized
I agree with the other reviewers, this is neither white nor deodorized. I have another source where I've purchased this and white and deodorized is what I get from them. It's more expensive though, so I thought I would try BB's version as I was placing an order. I haven't yet tried it in a soap batch, I don't want the cocoa scent to permeate my soap when thats not what I'm going for. Perhaps I'll save it for lip balm or sometime when this is what I want. BB - no need to contact me, thanks.

Hi Michael! I'm sorry this product wasn't your favorite. While it is deodorized, it does have a faint chocolate scent. However, in our tests and recipes, we don't notice any chocolate scent in the finished products, as seen in the Margarita Epsom Salt Scrub tutorial. I'd still love to talk more about this, so I'll be emailing you personally!

Not as advertised
I bought white, deodorized cocoa butter from another vendor and that's what I got. This cocoa butter is beige and smells of cocoa butter; it is not faint. BB really needs to find another product to sell that lives up to the description…or…change the description. Not pleased as I have Christmas gifts to make and I don't know if they'll be what I planned.

Hi Siri! I'm sorry this product wasn't your favorite. While it does not smell as strongly as the regular cocoa butter, it does still have a faint smell to it. In our tests and recipes, we've found the smell isn't noticeable in finished products, like these Argan and Sandalwood Vanilla Lotion Bars. I'll be emailing you personally to discuss this!

Deodorized Cocoa Butter
I have to agree with prior review, I just opened my package of "Deodorized" Cocoa butter and the Chocolaty smell is very potent, not deodorized at all. I'm disappointed as I paid a little more for this product than I have in the past through another company, not sure what I can use it in now, as I cannot use it in my intended lotions and shampoo's. I also didn't receive my usual sample that normally comes with my shipment, which has always been a plus for me. The Rice Oil I bought was short on ounces, only by a couple but every bit counts and is paid for. I really do enjoy Brambleberry, but I'm wondering what is happening. This is not the first problem I've had, but as i said I enjoy most of their products so I return, not sure what to think :/ Reply from Bramble Berry Hi Elizabeth! I'm sorry this wasn't your favorite product. Although it does smell less intense than regular cocoa butter, it isn't entirely scent free. I’m also sorry to hear that you did not receive the full amount of Rice Bran. I'll be emailing you personally to answer any questions, and solve these issues!
