Anne-Marie's favorite type of dessert (besides cupcakes) is Lemon Meringue Pie. She's been searching for the perfectly tart Lemon Meringue for years and came across this delicious Lemon Cake in the search. Sweet with a very small tart note, this fragrance will make you drool. Notes of granulated sugar combine with warm butter notes and vanilla extract to provide a solid base to the sweetener notes of fresh lemon, whipped meringue, lemon rind and graham cracker to make a sweet, yummy fragrance. With the vanilla notes, the fragrance does discolor brown.

True to scent
This is by far one of my favorite scents! It is very rich, and sweet. Customers love it as well. Many of them say it makes them hungry though. ;)

Not so Happy
I love the smell in the bottle, but it did not keep that smell in my cold process soap. Will not purchase this fragrance again!

Hi Monica! I'm so glad you loved the smell of our Lemon Cake Fragrance Oil out of the bottle. Though, I'm sorry you were disappointed once it was in your cold process soap. We choose all of the fragrances we carry based on a full six weeks of cure time in CP. I will email you to help troubleshoot!

How about 10 stars?
Born and raised in Florida, we all love our citrus scents. Lemon Cake is more than true to the product description. From the beginning I've always added a few drops of Lime Fragrance Oil to this to create a perfect Key Lime Pie scent. It already has the hint of graham cracker crust in there, so it's fantastic! This is a runaway favorite year round here with the locals. Then in the winter when the "snowbirds" arrive, they go nuts for this and buy plenty to bring back to the chilly north to remind themselves of their warm sunny vacation from the snow and ice. I make an entire Key Lime Pie collection including bar soaps, foaming pump soaps, salt scrubs and whipped butters. Also included is a Key Lime Pie recipe card with their purchase. It might be time for me to learn how to make wax tarts as well so I had better start looking for some instructions on that. I have one question please. Would Brambleberry Lemon Cake and Lime oils be safe to use in lip balms?

Hi Robin! I'm so glad you love our Lemon Cake Fragrance Oil and it's such a hit with your customers! Our fragrance oils are not safe for use in lip balms. For lip safe scents check out our Flavoring Oils! I will email you personally to discuss this further.

By far my favorite
If I were, for some reason, limited to only one FO it would be Lemon Cake. It smells just like lemon cake baking in the oven. So, if you're making soap with this FO, plan on making a lemon cake afterwards, as it will make you crave it. I keep the discoloration at bay by using oxides and adding some Vanilla Color Stabilizer. Right now my kitchen smells heavenly....and I'm adding another bottle of this to my wish list.

Good at first...
It smells delicious right out of the bottle. It makes me just want to taste it. Unfortunately, it took on a different smell in CP soap that I didn't quite like. Other people liked it, but I didn't think it had the same smell as right out of the bottle.

Hi Steven! I'm sorry this smell wasn't your favorite. If you're looking for sweet dessert scents, you may enjoy Almond Biscotti Fragrance Oil, Cream Cheese Frosting Fragrance Oil, or Creamsicle Cybilla Fragrance Oil. Also, the fragrance will smell different out of bottle than it does it soap. That's why we test all of our fragrances in cold process soap before purchasing them.
