Description

Wooden Loaf Mold With Sliding Bottom - This is not your ordinary wooden soap mold.  Made out of top grade Russian Birch Plywood; the wood is nicely sanded but completely raw and unfinished. The sliding bottom has a lacquer finish.  Without hinges or hardware, the bottom panel simply slides out to expose the underside of your soap.  Once the sliding panel is removed the soap and liner can come out through the bottom of the mold.  To reassemble, just slide the bottom back in and you're ready to go.

Dimensions: 2-3/4" (Height) x 3-3/8" (Width) x 16-3/4" (Length)

Capacity: 76 oz

Make this mold even easier to use with our silicone liner for 5 lb wooden molds!

We recommend hand washing all of your molds and pieces to make sure they last a lifetime

Great Mold and great idea with the Vaseline
This is a fabulous mold! And thanks for the vaseline hint with the liner. Mine had gotten a little flimsy and was wobbly in spots. I had tried taping it to the sides with electrical tape but it didn't always hold. The vaseline works amazing. The liner lays in perfect and stays put! Thanks!!

Love it!
Wonderful mold and liner!! Not much more to say. Easy to clean and use :) Wish your 2 lb wood mold was like this one, but love the 2 lb mold also.

5 pound mold with sliding bottom
I have been looking for a new mold for quite some time. I asked around and got lots of different feedback. I saw some reviews of this particular mold and thought I'd give it a try. I liked the size and the resulting size of the bar it would produce. I also thought the liner idea was a real plus. I purchased the silicone liner as well. I tried it yesterday for the first time and unmolded my soap today. I can't say enough good things about this mold. I really love it. My 5 pound recipe fit absolutely perfect and the unmolding was a breeze. I know some people were complaining about the silicone liner falling to the middle so I just put a little Vaseline around the edges to secure it to the wood on the sides, easy peasy. I really like this mold for its convenience of no lining and for its size. I probably will be purchasing another one soon. The slide out bottom made the unmolding so easy. You will not regret this purchase at all.

For the price, it's great!
I have one of these molds with the silicone liner, and I do plan to buy more. It's sturdy, easy to use--although with the liner, the slide-out bottom is almost overkill, as you can just tip it over and the soap log and liner falls out. If you are not used to using a silicone liner in your molds--your soap may need some extra time in the mold as the silicone doesn't let the moisture out. I go an extra 12 hours in the mold. Also, I've made about 20 batches in the mold now, and the liner is getting quite flimsy and discolored. BE CAREFUL POURING when it gets this way--the sides of the liner tend to dip in a bit, and I accidentally spilled a bit of wet soap between the liner and the mold. It was a *bugger* to get out when it was done, as it stuck to the sliding mechanism. I now use tape to secure the liner totally open. For the price, this is a wonderful mold, although I am not sure how long the liner will hold up--I can see needing replacements fairly often.

My favorite mold ever!
I absolutely love this mold - it's a great price especially when used with the silicone liner! I will be ordering another since I find that this is my go to mold more often than not. Since my business is growing and I am beginning to do vending spots that draw a lot of people, it makes sense to invest in loaf molds than you can make more product in one shot. Getting ready to order the 10 lb: Thanks BB for offering these!!!!!
