Description

Relaxing: A relaxing blend of French Lavender and Fir Pine, enhanced with Egyptian Jasmine and sweetened with pure Vanilla, softened with delicate Musks. We have had customers tell us that this is a "mature, grown-up vanilla based blend" and we think that description is very accurate. Fantastic not only in soap but also in Bath Bombs and Lotions. This fragrance discolors because of the Vanilla but the smell is too fabulous to care. (To prevent Relaxing from discoloring, try our Vanilla Color Stabilizer) In liquid soap, Relaxing slightly thickens the base and ends a clear discolored hue.

Vanilla Content: 9.3%

beautiful!
Unfortunately this scent has stirred up a bit of jealousy in me. I want this to be MY scent. I don't want to share it! But I guess I have to. Lol. It's soft and subtle while still having power behind it. Really beautiful. It's powdery and gently sweet while still remaining sophisticated.

Not good in CP
Maybe this is good in other soaping methods which explains the "good" reviews, but I didn't care for it in CP soap. I won't even give it away. I will probably throw this batch out. Too bad. OOB it smells good and yes it got a little better than the shocking difference of a smell 48 hrs later, but nothing special. I usually love BB Fo's but this is a blend that went wrong for CP. Smells like a lot of blends I make.LOL....they smell good before but in the finished soap, eehh:(

Hi Marilyn! I'm sorry you did not like this scent in your cold process soap. We love the Relaxing Fragrance Oil in all sorts of products, including CP! We actually choose all of our scents based on what they smell like in cold process at a six week cure time. If you're looking for other spa scents you may like Sea Moss Fragrance Oil, Cold Water Fragrance Oil, or Fresh Bamboo Fragrance Oil.

It is - Relaxing
This is a new favorite with me, to me it has a very slight smell of coconut along with all the other types mentioned. Sure to be a big hit year round.

A Must Have FO...Nose Stuck in The Jar!!! :)
How I judge fragrance oils : In order to let only my nose decide I don't look at the name of any fragrance before smelling it because I don't want to have a pre-conceived idea of what I think the scent should be. I just open the bottle and put it to my nose and I let my senses decide. I only look at the name after I have smelled the content of the bottle, never before. Regarding this fragrance, I opened the bottle, put it to my nose and could not tear my nose from the bottle. It was so good that my eyes started closing as this very soothing scent enveloped me. I almost fell asleep with the bottle in my hand. Then I opened my eyes and said to my husband "this is so good" and he said "what is name" and I look at the bottle and said "it is called Relaxing oil". Bottom line **** this is so good, so calm, so soothing and with a great clean scent****. IT IS A MUST HAVE.

Excellent, Excellent Excellent! Plays well with others too!
I got a larger bottle of this because not only did it smell heavenly alone - but it smells great with others as well! It helps mellow other scents that seem to "heavy", overpowering or too floral and goes well with foodie, floral and musk fragrances. I added this to my very first M&P project and really loved the results and I felt it really did nicely (even better than Vanilla Select) of adding a nice mellow warm touch of vanilla.
