Beveler - This Beveler is a necessary tool in your soaping arsenal. It will finish off your soap with beautifully smooth edges to create a more professional look, as well as making your bars easier on the hands. Made from Solid PVC, this little tool is easy to wash. It has a bench hook to secure the beveller to the edge of a table or countertop. Save the cut off scraps for embedding in future projects!

After listening to our customer reviews, we have improved this product! As of January 2014, the beveller now has a taut wire to perfectly bevel each bar without becoming clogged. We have rigorously tested the wire, and it has held up to all of our demands. We have found that it works the best on soaps that have been curing for at least a week. Measures 12"(l)  x 5.5(w) x 4.5"(t).

Re-Reviewing this Product
I had an issue with the older version and did not write a good review. Well Miss Rachel with BrambleBerry helped me every step of the way! I was sent this NEW bevel and I love it. So much better than the last one. Works great. And the customer service was spot on. I now have a new found faith back to BB and joyed to report it as so. Thank you Rachel and BB.

Big Disappointment
I am very sad to report that (for me) this was a huge waste of money. I got this in the mail today and immediately tried it out on my bars. I tried it out on cubes, loaf bars, half rounds and square bars and every single time it tore the corners off my soap. I thought it might just be me so I had 3 different friends try it out and every time it tore the corners. I tried it on hard bars that had cured for months and new bars that had only been curing a few day and everything in between. I tried it on soaps made from different recipes thinking it might be some specific ingredient causing them to tear, but no. Every single bar was torn at the corners. I should have stuck with my vegetable peeler. This is completely unusable. Looks like another lackluster tool to be shoved in the soap room closet... :(

Love this for straight-edge soaps, BB molds
Just received this today and have already beveled about 100 bars of soap. I love it! I almost always use BB's silicone loaf mold, 2-lb ELF mold and the 9-bar birchwood mold, and it works great on all of those shapes, assuming you use dividers and/or cut relatively straight. I agree with the other review that it wouldn't work as well for fairly textured tops, but it is excellent if your soaps are generally square or rectangular. Gives the soap a good hand feel and really adds a nice polish. So glad I bought it - definitely worth the price for my soaps.

Works well for certain projects...
For the most part, I think this is a pretty handy tool. If you've got a pretty even bar of soap to begin with, you can get some really neat edges on your soap and it does make a difference. The problem is that if you want to bevel edges for soap with decorations or any sort of bumps or texture on top, it's impossible to get that edge close in enough to the blade to shave it, so you have to substitute a veggie peeler for the edges on that side and sometimes it ruins the effect, since those unevenly beveled edges are right on the side you most want to look at. Kind of a bummer.
