Juniper Berries, although berry-like in appearance, are the fleshy cone of the juniper bush. These dried berries can be used in potpourri, oil infusions, or ground up for use as an exfoliant. It has been suggested that juniper berries have anti-inflammitory properties that may be benificial for those suffering from joint ailments. Topical application of juniper berries has also been suggested to relieve skin irritation such as acne, dandruff, and athletes foot. These berries have a diameter of about 1/2 cm.
