I used this colorant in my first batch of CP and it is STUNNING!! I have received several compliments on how much the blue pops. I will definitely reorder.
Not as vibrant as the photo shown
by Mandolyn on 10/1/2014
I ordered the pigment sampler which contained this in it. I followed recommended usage rate exactly as it is stated in the description. I assumed that the photo of how it turns out in CP soap would be the same usage rate that is recommended. Apparently my assumption was incorrect because it looks nothing like the photo. In my CP, with Brambleberry's recommended usage, my soaps (after gel) were a light sky blue (not even close to the deep, vibrant blue shown in the photo). It definitely isn't because of my recipe, as it is the recipe I always use, and have used other companies oxides at the same/similar rates resulting in beautifully vibrant colors. This was quite disappointing.

Hi Mandolyn! I'm sorry this colorant wasn't your favorite. We've found it creates a bright blue, as seen in this Fourth of July Fireworks Cold Process Soap. To get the color in the photos, we mixed 1 tsp. of the color in 1 Tbsp. sweet almond oil. Then, we added about 1 ½ tsp. of the dispersed color per pound of soap. I'll be emailing you personally to help troubleshoot!

This blue is a must have! A great vibrant color that you can tone down by using less or mixing with Titanium Dioxide, this color is easy to use and provides good consistent results. I love it,
lip safe

I'm just checking to make sure this is not lip safe..... thank you! Reply from Bramble Berry Hi Alena, this product is not approved for use in lip products. If you're looking for a blue colorant to use for lip products, I would recommend the Blue Mica -Cellini Lip Safe Mica. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!!!!
Great blue, and purple!

I have used ultramarine blue for a bright blue, pale blue, and purple. It's a very versatile color, mixes well with yellow oxide to make an awesome green too! As long as it's mixed really well in oil with a mini mixer, it is great to work with!!

Great Blue. Made my BIL some soap and did two tones of blue with this. Beautiful with a full gel.
Vivid blue
by Dana on 7/4/2013
This is a great, vivid blue. You can use a little for a light color or more for a darker, basic blue. It doesn't fade, and it's easy to use in CP soap.
Gorgeous blue

This is a really vivid beautiful blue. Doesn't fade hardly at all in melt and pour soap.
