Fun with Granddaughter
by MaryAnn on 7/28/2015
Made this kit with my 10 yr. old granddaughter. Sooo much fun and very easy. We changed the fragrances - hearts were mint julep and daisies were orange. Used dropper to put them in pots - had to work fast - but she was able to handle it. Came out great! Gave them away to everyone she could think of. Makes 24. I have four left. :)

This was so much fun! The directions were perfectly clear, and my balms turned out amazing! I've been passing them around to my coworkers and friends all day. I LOVE the cucumber melon scent, and the Rose Pearl color turned into this beautiful soft pink. Can't wait to try out other colors and oils.
What a KICK!

So much fun to do, and I love the way my lips feel and smell! Not heavy and waxy. Next up..... Shea lotion, and then Eye serum, I feel like a kid in a candy store.
Smells and feels great

This was our first attempt at lip balm. I am generally not a fan of cucumber melon but decided to try the kit. I am so glad I did. The cucumber melon fragrance is absolutely delicious smelling. My daughter and I worked on this batch and had no problems at all. Great product!!!

Do yall have a sunscreen additive that can go in this product?

Reply from Bramble Berry
Hi Christy! If you are looking to add a little UV protection to your lip products, you can add Zinc Oxide. Zinc Oxide does give products a little bit of a white color, so that is just something to keep in mind :). I will be emailing you personally to help with this!

HIghly recommend this kit!

I bought this as a project to do with my 5-year old granddaughter over Valentine's weekend. It was so easy and resulted in a wonderful product. So smooth and moisturizing. Mica adds just a touch of color. We made gifts for her mom, aunty and other friends. Great fun!
I have not tried it yet...

Thank you for your reviews! My granddaughters, age 6 and 3 LLLLOOOOVVVVEEE lip gloss. The 3 yo calls is 'lickstick'. It appears that that will be what she does with this yummy stuff! This is the perfect project for me to do with the older one. I thought she was going to cry when I told her I was ordering a kit so we could make lip gloss together! Gotta go order it now!!
The only lip balm base I will ever need!!!!

Good Heavens. I couldn't have been more excited. As soon as I was done making this first batch, I was on the website ordering supplies to make some more. I think I am going to layer pineapple with the cucumber melon. I swear, I'm going to have people going into fits trying to get this stuff. I gave away a few to the girls at work and they all said the same thing...."I want to eat it!" My husband even liked it and a guy at my job tried it before he took it to his sister. He said, "Ooooooh, I want to eat it!! Definitely a winner. My lip balm flavors are going to be endless. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS STUFF!!!
I made my own lip balm!!!

I still can't quite believe it, and I'm pretty crafty. I read somewhere on this site that once you use this, you won't use anything else. I believe that to be true. This is a wonderful base! I made some with the mica coloring and some without, for friends that don't want any tint at all. I'll be making more soon, since I've decided to share--I'm giving this to my fellow flight crew members on my trips!

Nothing was damaged and I love everything! The cucumber flavoring smelt great and tasted great! All the pots were in there so I recommend this to a beginner in lip balm making.
