I have used this soap mold with melt and pour only and find that spraying it with isopropyl alcohol before pouring helps with un-molding. It is very hard plastic so it can be really tricky releasing the soap so letting the soap harden completely is essential. I like the size of the cavities because I can usually pour any leftover soap into one and get nearly a full 3oz bar. I like the variety of shapes. It cuts down on storage space from having to buy four separate molds, especially when you only need to make a single bar. My only complaint is that I did manage to scratch myself pretty good with a sharp edge.
How do you release the soap from this mold!!! I can't get it out!
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Mary! I'm sorry you're having a hard time getting your soap to release from your mold! It can be a bit tricky with these hard plastic molds. One trick you can try is placing your soap in the freezer for about 30 minutes. This will result in the soap constricting slightly and make for an easier removal.
