Why is it discoloring my soap?

Everytime I use this mold it discolors the soap to yellow where it is contacting the silicone. It does this for melt and pour and for cold process. Any idea why? I thought it was just the fragrance that was doing it but my cut soap edges are nice and white while the edges against the silicone get yellow. Doesn't matter what fragrance I use either. Happens with essential oils and frgrance oils.

Perfect for testing

I use this mold all the time. The batch size is just right for experimenting. I pre-mix oils for my go-to recipe and store several identical pre-mixed batches of oils in 24-oz yogurt-type containers with lids (they nest, so storage is compact). Whenever I have time, I just make up my lye water, warm the oils, and pick any half-ounce sample size bottle (or measure out scent) and everything is ready to go. Since I can add the lye-water into the plastic container the oils were in, it reduces clean-up. It's so easy to unmold the soap (I do not use any hardener such as sodium lactate). I'm ordering another one.

Perfect for sampling!

I love this size, it's perfect to sample fragrances and colours or a new technique.

Perfect size!

I don't sell soap, I just make it for me and for my family. (so the volumes can quickly get out of hand). Since I like to try small batches of different recipes and fragrances, this mold is just the perfect size. I can get 3 or 4 bars out of it depending on how thick I cut the slices. I love this mold. I have 2 of them and might end up buying a couple more.

Perfect for entry level soap making

I am just getting into the hobby of soaping and I wanted to start off small. I use melt and pour only until I can work up the nerve to try cold processed but this loaf is the perfect size to accommodate my beginner needs. It can be a little tricky releasing soap from the mold but having the flexibility to help it break the air lock is extremely helpful. I can push from the bottom while at the same time, pull from one side to help the air bubble form. It is very well insulated and takes a bit of time for soap to set. I'm happy with this mold and find it does exactly the job as described. I normally get 4 good sized bars out of this loaf mold.
