Colors pop but leak out of soap

I made 2 batches of CP soap: regular bars & guest soaps. Although the colors are utterly gorgeous and vibrant, a few of them tended to run, each time the soap was used. The result is that the soap dish, or counter collects the color (even though it does not stain). And it doesn't look very progressional to have soaps that are running rivers of bright colors.

Hi there! I'm so glad you found the colors in our Christmas Colorant Sampler Pack gorgeous, though I'm sorry you had trouble with colored lather. These colorants are beautiful for sure but they can discolor the water or washcloth if too much is used in the soap. Generally we like to use 1 teaspoon of color per pound of soap. To help prevent that color transfer, make sure your soap is fully cured if cold process. The more moisture you wick out, which happens during the cure, the less likely your soap will run. If you're making melt and pour soap, switching to something with a lower glycerin content, like our LCP bases, will help. Customer service has emailed you directly to help troubleshoot more!
