Nails are not long enough to reach my soap to do any swirling. Would love to know what kind of nails these are so I can buy longer ones. The idea of the swirling tool is great!

We're so glad that you think the swirl tool is a great idea! We love it for swirling the top of our soaps. Well made tool, for sure. But the tines of the comb are very short. There isn't any way to shorten the holder, so it will prevent you from being able to lower it past the top of the mold (I'm using BB 18 bar slab mold). This tool only works if you fill your slab mold rather full and even then it will only reach the very top of the soap.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Lindsey! We’re so glad to hear that you found the tool to be well made. We love using the comb swirl tool with the 18 bar mold, it’s great for swirling the top of your soap! If you’re looking for a longer swirl tool I’d recommend our Easy Swirl Tool. You can see Anne-Marie using this customizable tool in her How to Use Swirling Tools video. Thank you so much for telling us about your experience, we’re always looking for ways to improve our products!
I just recieved this item to use with the 18-bar birch mold. On the plus side, this comb is well made and does fit the birchwood mold. On the other hand, the tines of the comb are very short and will not reach the bottom of the mold (leaving an unmarbled layer). Too, for the price, you could very easily make several combs of similar quality yourself.
