Can this product be used to color cosmetics

When I ordered this and other items I planned to use them to color cosmetics but now am thinking that I can not. Can they be used to color cosmetics, if not they are worthless to me

The Red Sandalwood Powder is safe for use in cosmetics. Though how well it works in your product will depend on what you're making. Since it is a natural powder colorant it will tend to sink to the bottom of lotions and other liquid products over time.

Morphed brown

This powder is beautiful and I was hoping for a bright orange or yellow outcome. I'm not sure what happened in my CP but it turned my soap completely brown. Looks like I will be rebatching this if it's possible.

In our testing the Red Sandalwood Powder made a nice reddish brown color in cold process soap, pictured above. There can be other reasons for brown discoloration, like using a vanilla fragrance. Find out more in the "Why Did my Soap Turn Brown?" blog post.
