some good some not

I read the reviews and still bought these bands. I found I had to "trim" about 1/4" from my soaps bottoms or bevel the edges to get them to fit (yes. I am using the correct/recommended mold and cut it with the multi-bar cutter sold on this site) As my soap sells by the ounce this costs me income losses but gives me "trim" for designs like a confetti soap. If I don't bevel or trim the soap the wraps are so tight it smears the design or rolls the edges. Very frustrating. These wraps do shrink very well - almost to well - if you don't move the heat gun quickly and start on edges/ends first ...They Will... Tear/burn through. That said; they may still be worth the extra effort as they make a nice crisp professional looking product. With all of the customer reviews about these bands being too small I would think an effort would be made to offer a larger size by Bramble Berry. I may reorder these but not until I look for a larger size elsewhere first.

Too Small and too weak

I have a craft heat gun from Michaels Craft Store. I have been trying over and over to get these bands to work. First of all I can't get any of the soaps made in the 10" Loaf mold cut into 1 inch slices into the band at all. The soap from the tall and skinny mold barley fit. If I can get the soap into the band the band just melts and has holes in it when heat is applied. I have the heat gun about 10 inches above the wrapper and they are just melting away. When It fully shrinks there are holes where ever there was heat. I dont even have that good of a heat gun, just the one from Michaels. To say the least I'm really frustrated with the amount of time I spent. I did read the previous reviews about them being way too small but I figured maybe for 1" slices of soap they would work. I would not recommend this item if you are wanting a professionsal looking wrapper.

We haven't noticed the shrink wraps melting when using a heat gun on them so that is super strange. Though these Large Shrink Wrap Soap Bands will only work with the 10" Silicone Loaf Mold if you fill just to the top of the mold without any extra soap or peaks above the lip.

Too Small

I bought these to use for my CP soaps because they remain open on the ends but they are too small. My mold is a Soap Queen 4 lb loaf mold with bars cut to 1 inch, so I'm guessing my soap is a pretty standard size. These bags don't work and because they remain open on the ends, they are not suitable for M&P. Not sure what I'm going to do with these.

The Large Shrink Wrap Soap Bands are meant to be used for soaps made with either our 10" Silicone Loaf Mold or 5 Pound Mold with Sliding Bottom. We don't currently have a shrink wrap that will work with the 4 lb mold. You can also use saran wrap with a heat gun for another wrapping option for your soap. See in example in Soap Queen TV Episode 11: Packaging.

Perfect

These fit my loaf mold soaps perfectly. I love the perforated strip feature. Product couldn't be better. Love 'em.

Question

I don't understand why the large size are less expensive than the medium...they are larger & you get 50 more for the same price as the medium. I'm afraid to order until I find out if this is a mistake because I don't want to get the wrong size.
