Good Product

I have two of these liners and although when I first ordered them I thought they would be the older thinner ones. I had my husband and his friend make the wood molds for them to go into - which they did an awesome job on by the way. These mold perform very well each time. I have not experienced any bowing at all. They release pretty easily and they have retained their shape really well. They fit perfectly in the wood mold. I watch YouTube videos and have seen how people have had to clip the older liners to the mold and just how flip floppy they were. I see why they changed the design because that would have driven my crazy. I am buying two more liners but this this time I'm purchasing the wood molds from BB and praying that I don't have the same experience with the bowing because that sounds like that might be the issue. If so I have no problem returning them because they are not cheap and should not perform less than promised.

Bowing After One Wash

This liner is much thicker than my first liner I bought. I wanted a second 5 Lb mold, but this liner holds less and the bars are smaller and more square. I can't make two batches of the same soap recipe because now my two liners are different. I was considering getting a second thicker mold just to have matching bars, but after the FIRST wash of this liner, it is now bowing. I can fix this problem with the thin liners by using Crisco between the liner and the wooden mold, but the thicker liner does not hold to the wood with Crisco. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bring back the thin liners!!!!! Listen to your customers!!!

Liners are bowing badly after minimal use

I purchased a 5 pack of these silicone liners. I’ve used them maybe 10-12 times each and now they are bowing so badly and completely ruining my soaps. I end up with about 5-7 bars that are deformed and can’t be sold. I’ve tried using clips but then it makes poring the soap even messier. I am beyond disappointed considering I also wasted money on wooden molds to hold these liners. Wasted money for a sub-par product. Inexcusable!!!!!

We redesigned the liners to thicker walls and stand sturdier so they should not be bowing like that when used with the 5 Pound Mold With Sliding Bottom. Though if they are used without the wooden mold to help keep their sides straight this can stretch them out and cause bowing issues down the line.

Silicone Liner for 5 lb Wood Mold

I bought 5 of these last year and now 2 of them are bowing in the center. The soap won't even push it out so I ruin at least 4-6 bars of soap with each batch.

Silicone tends to wear out over time and after a year of use may not perform as well as it originally did. You may prefer to line your molds with freezer paper, to find how to make this easier check out our How to Line Any Mold blog post.
