This project, originally taught at Soap Weekend Intensive 2010 by Erin Pikor, is a fun and creative way to make unique pie soaps. Complete with pie lattice and all, these juicy strawberry pie slices will make your mouth water!
This kit includes:
This kit is a little different than our other kits in that you can remove or get extra of each item in your shopping cart (and the price will adjust accordingly) before you check out. So you can just get what you need. Also please note that there are no printed instructions included with this kit, learn how to make this soap on the Soap Queen Blog here.
The original recipe only asks for 2 lbs of soap but I am glad that I ended up getting the 3 lbs of clear (you have to go into your cart and change that to match the recipe) as there is no way to really get this look with less. The Daisy cutter doesn't get moved over to your cart (the link was broken when I ordered this so I couldn't get one) and I was told they no longer sell the non-bleeding red and was suggested to add the liquid Red Oxide which made the "strawberry pieces" very dull pink instead of the poppy pink of the images. Not a great project if you are not VERY careful with your cart.
Reply from Bramble Berry Hi Heather! I'm sorry this kit was not your favorite. It definitely is an older recipe with some ingredients we do not carry anymore like the Non-Bleeding Red Color. I will email you personally to resolve this issue!
I opened my package and I am missing the red non bleeding color. Everything else is there but I am just missing that. Otherwise, great kit.
Reply from Bramble Berry Hi Elizabeth! I'm so glad you think our Strawberry Pie Soap Kit is great! The Non-Bleeding Red Color has actually been discontinued which is why you did not receive it. This kit is a little different than out other kits in that each item is added to your cart separately so you can remove or get extra of each item. This also means that when an item is out of stock or discontinued it will not be added to your cart but everything else will. I will email you personally to discuss this further!
This was my second kit purchased from Brambleberry and it turned out beautifully and smells great. I'm working up the courage to start CP, but in the meantime, this M&P kit contained enough of the creative skill aspect to learn. The Clay Spa kit just came today ... Can't wait to try it out.
