Find out how much of this scent to use
Vetyver (BBW Type): This fragrance is a much beloved fragrance that Bath & Body Works (BBW) did in 2003. It is not a single note like the essential oil of the same name, but rather has top notes of Lemon & Rosemary. The middle notes contain florals, Sandalwood and Patchouli and finally, the luscious blend finishes off with musk and vetyver. This fragrance stays a lovely white in CP soap and performs wonderfully in all manner of soap and toiletries.

We blend this one and love the complexity it adds to florals and earthy scents. It's not going to be for everyone but makes a great unisex scent. We love it.
I think I expected more of a lemon scent, but this is a great FO. It is like Axe body spray - a real fresh lemony lovely just stepped out of the shower male scent. Nice! It held well in my soap at the 3% level. The men in my family really like it as an everyday soap. :)
I got this fragrance for my CP soap. I LOVE the smell and was very excited to use it. My soap came out beautiful without discoloration and without and scent. The scent was totally gone after the soap cured. Because I make so many varieties of soap I thought perhaps I could not smell it because my nose had been over loaded with smells. I had several of my friends smell it and they could hardly smell any fragrance either. Again it was AMAZING in the bottle, I thought I had found a new favorite, but a total disappointment in the soap. I did nothing different to my recipe and used all the same products I normally use but sadly the amazing smell totally faded.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Selina! I'm so glad you loved our Vetyver Type Fragrance Oil out of the bottle! Though, I'm sorry you were disappointed in it after your soap cured. In our tests and recipes the scent was strong when used at .8 oz per pound of cold process soap, as shown by our Handy Dandy Fragrance Calculator. I will email you personally to discuss this further.
This is by far, my most favorite fragrance oil. It has a wonderful staying power and does not seem to interfere with the process of cold process soap making. Your soap does not discolor either. I just love it!
Love this scent. Can't wait to use it in some soap!
