Find out how much of this scent to use
Vetyver (BBW Type): This fragrance is a much beloved fragrance that Bath & Body Works (BBW) did in 2003. It is not a single note like the essential oil of the same name, but rather has top notes of Lemon & Rosemary. The middle notes contain florals, Sandalwood and Patchouli and finally, the luscious blend finishes off with musk and vetyver. This fragrance stays a lovely white in CP soap and performs wonderfully in all manner of soap and toiletries.

I think I expected more of a lemon scent, but this is a great FO. It is like Axe body spray - a real fresh lemony lovely just stepped out of the shower male scent. Nice! It held well in my soap at the 3% level. The men in my family really like it as an everyday soap. :)
I got this fragrance for my CP soap. I LOVE the smell and was very excited to use it. My soap came out beautiful without discoloration and without and scent. The scent was totally gone after the soap cured. Because I make so many varieties of soap I thought perhaps I could not smell it because my nose had been over loaded with smells. I had several of my friends smell it and they could hardly smell any fragrance either. Again it was AMAZING in the bottle, I thought I had found a new favorite, but a total disappointment in the soap. I did nothing different to my recipe and used all the same products I normally use but sadly the amazing smell totally faded.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Selina! I'm so glad you loved our Vetyver Type Fragrance Oil out of the bottle! Though, I'm sorry you were disappointed in it after your soap cured. In our tests and recipes the scent was strong when used at .8 oz per pound of cold process soap, as shown by our Handy Dandy Fragrance Calculator. I will email you personally to discuss this further.
This is by far, my most favorite fragrance oil. It has a wonderful staying power and does not seem to interfere with the process of cold process soap making. Your soap does not discolor either. I just love it!
Love this scent. Can't wait to use it in some soap!
The first time I bought this FO, I was instantly in love with it!. OOB was just as good if not better in soap! Everyone that smelled it loved and wanted it! The soap was actually named Midnight Shag by one of my customers! I reordered a 16 oz bottle of this and when I opened the bottle, the scent was such a disappointment! Something has changed with this FO!!! It smelled terrible! Something is VERY VERY different with this FO. In the background, it a slight glimmer of the other bottle, but there is a very strong terrible scent! I don't know what happened, whether your changed this or what, but I am VERY DISAPPOINTED with this FO now! Why did you change it? I would LOVE to return this bottle for a refund, but I doubt that will happen. But I can hope! I would love to talk to someone about this. Sorry, but I can't leave a favorable review, and it's the first time I haven't loved one of your FOs!
Reply from Bramble Berry Hi Robin! I'm sorry you were disappointed with this fragrance oil. We love the crisp notes of lemon and rosemary anchored by the musk and vetyver. Our Vetyver Type Fragrance Oil has not changed, but sometimes fragrances do smell different based how much is in each bottle and changes once it's diluted in your product. I will email you personally to resolve this issue.
