Lavender and Buttermilk Bath Salt Project

Project Description
Need a little relaxation? These Lavender and Buttermilk Bath Salts fit the bill. It's a simple combination of Epsom salt, buttermilk powder, and Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil. Simply mix the three ingredients together and add a few big scoops to your hot bath.
If you're concerned with dried lavender going down your drain, this mixture can be placed in tea bags.

You will need:
- Four 4 oz. Lidded Glass Jars
- 16 oz. Epsom Salt, Extra Fine
- 4 oz. Buttermilk Powder
- 0.3 oz. Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil
- About 0.2 oz. Dried Lavender
Follow these steps:

Add 16 ounces of Epsom salt to a large mixing bowl. Place a fine mesh strainer on top and push through 4 ounces of buttermilk powder.

Add 0.3 ounces of Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil and stir thoroughly until there are no clumps. Stir in dried lavender until you're happy with the look - we used 0.2 ounces.

Transfer the mixture to the glass jars. Store in a dry and cool place. Once you're ready to use, add a few large spoonfuls to hot bath water and enjoy!
