Project Description

This natural lip balm recipe is made with moisturizing raw shea butter, grapeseed oil, and yellow beeswax.

If you’ve never tried handmade lip balm, you’re in for a treat. This recipe has a soft and silky texture that keeps your lips hydrated for hours.

It’s an all-natural mix of beeswax, grapeseed oil, and raw shea butter. A touch of peppermint essential oil gives it a fresh scent you’ll love. The recipe is firm enough for a lip balm tube if you prefer that over a pot.

You will need:

  • 10 Lip Pots
  • 1.5 oz. Raw Shea Butter
  • 1 oz. Grapeseed Oil
  • 0.3 oz. Yellow Beeswax
  • 0.5 mL Peppermint Essential Oil, 2nd Distill

Follow these steps:

1

In a small heat-safe container, add 1.5 ounces of raw shea butter, 1 ounce of grapeseed oil, and 0.3 ounces of yellow beeswax. Place the container in the microwave and melt the balm using 30-60 second bursts. Remove from the microwave carefully, as the container will be very hot.
