Golden Sugar Scrub Project
- Skill Level: Beginner
- Time: 30 minutes
- Yield: Four 4 oz. jars
Project Description
This Golden Sugar Scrub is quick and easy to make, and leaves skin feeling soft and smooth. Gold Bursting Beads add a pop of color and sparkle, and Gold Glimmer Fragrance Oil adds notes of orange blossom, fern, amber, and musk. It's a complex scent that's perfect for the holidays and beyond.
This scrub contains a mixture of lightweight liquid oils to create a thick, spreadable consistency. A touch of polysorbate 80 helps the oils wash off slightly - skin feels moisturized and comfortable, but not oily. Sugar is a great exfoliant for the body, but we don't recommend using it on the face. It can be a little rough for delicate facial skin.
You will need:
- Four 4 oz. Lidded Glass Jars
- 16 oz. Granulated Sugar *Not Included
- 1 oz. Gold Bursting Beads
- 1 tsp. Super Pearly White Mica
- 5 oz. Avocado Oil
- 1 oz. Champagne Extract
- 0.3 oz. Polysorbate 80
- 0.3 oz. Rose Quartz Fragrance Oil*
Follow these steps:
1
In a large mixing bowl, add 16 ounces of granulated sugar, 1 ounce of Gold Bursting Beads, and 1 teaspoon of Super Pearly White Mica. Stir to combine.
2
In a separate container, add 5 ounces of avocado oil, 1 ounce of champagne extract, 0.3 ounces of polysorbate 80, and 0.3 ounces of Gold Glimmer Fragrance Oil. Stir to combine. Note: This project was originally made with Gold Glimmer Fragrance Oil, which was discontinued. It has been substituted with Rose Quartz Fragrance Oil.
3
Add the oil mixture to the sugar and stir until competely combined.
4
Spoon into jars. To use, apply to damp skin, scrub in circular motions, and wash off. Enjoy!
