Description

The first step in this project is to create your own custom blend of essential oils. This is where your personal taste and preferences come into play, but we have included two blends to get you started! Each recipe creates one 10 mL roller bottle.

Once you've created your perfect blend, it's mixed with the Hydrating Oil Base and poured into the glass roller bottle. The base is a lightweight combination of grapeseed oil, squalane oil, jojoba oil, fractioned coconut oil, rosehip seed oil, and vitamin E. It absorbs quickly into the skin, so it's great for body oil. The roller bottle makes application quick and mess free.

These blends were created by Flower of Life by Ritual and Big Dipper Wax Works. Learn more about Flower here. In this video, she shows you her tips and tricks for creating your own essential oil blend at home.

Aromatherapy Body Oil Project
This project creates a lightweight oil that's scented with natutral essential oils. We have included one of our custom blends below, or you can experiment and create your own. You can also use a single essential oil if you prefer - this project is all about customization!

Ingredients

One 10 mL Amber Roller Bottle
About 7 mL Hydrating Oil Base
20 drops Lavender 40/42 Essential Oil
20 drops Grapefruit Essential Oil
12 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil
4 drops Patchouli Essential Oil
Droppers

Instructions

1 Using a dropper, mix the essential oils in a small container. If you prefer, you can add them directly to the roller bottle.
2

Using a dropper or a steady hand, fill the rollerball container with Hydrating Oil Base. You will need about 6-7 mL of oil.

3

Gently shake the roller bottle to mix the Hydrating Oil Base and the essential oils together.

4

To use, apply the rollerball to skin. Rub in gently and enjoy the scent!
