Description
This Green Tea Face Scrub is easy to make thanks to our Facial Lotion Base. It's a gentle and hydrating combination of aloe liquid, green tea seed oil, and squalane oil. In this project, we transformed it into a scrub by adding biodegradable jojoba beads. The round shape of the beads is perfect for face scrubs - they exfoliate without scratching the skin.
A touch of sea clay and spinach powder are added for color, and green tea extract adds extra moisture. We recommend using this scrub on clean, damp skin. We left the scrub unscented, but you can add any fragrance or essential oil of your choice.

Instructions
Green Tea Face Scrub Project
This recipe is made with green tea extract and jojoba beads to gently exfoliate and moisturize the skin.
Ingredients
Four 4 oz. Hexagon Jars
15 oz. Facial Lotion Base
2 oz. White Jojoba Beads, Medium
0.5 oz. Green Tea Extract
1 tsp. Sea Clay
1 tsp. Spinach Powder
Instructions
1 |
Place 15 ounces of Facial Lotion Base into a medium heat-safe container. Microwave using 20-30 second bursts until the lotion is about 140° F. |
2 |
Add 0.5 ounces of green tea extract and whisk until thoroughly combined.
|
3 |
Add 1 teaspoon of sea clay and 1 teaspoon of spinach powder. Stick blend until everything is combined and there are no clumps. Tip: If you don't want to use a stick blender, disperse the sea clay and spinach powder into the extract before adding - this helps get rid of clumps.
|
4 |
Whisk in 2 ounces of jojoba beads until completely combined. Pour or spoon into jars and allow the scrub to cool without the cap for about 1 hour. Place the lid on and enjoy. We recommend using on clean, damp skin. |
