Project Description

These pink salt scrub bars leave skin feeling silky smooth and they make great gifts!

These Pink Salt Scrub Bars feel amazing. Pink sea salt scrubs away dry skin while cocoa butter and avocado butter keep it moisturized. You’ll also love the scent - Secret Garden Fragrance Oil adds notes of blackberries, lemon, jasmine, and cedar.

This project is great for beginners, and the bars make great gifts. To use, break off part of the bar, scrub in circular motions on wet skin, and rinse. The extra fine pink salt is scrubby enough for the body, but we don't recommend these bars for the face.

You will need:

  • 9 Cube Silicone Mold
  • 22 oz. Pink Sea Salt, Extra Fine
  • 3 oz. Deodorized Cocoa Butter
  • 4 oz. Avocado Butter
  • 1 oz. Polysorbate 80
  • 0.8 oz. Secret Garden Fragrance Oil
  • Pink Rose Petals

Follow these steps:

1

In a heat-safe container, add 3 ounces of cocoa butter and 4 ounces of avocado butter. Melt in the microwave using 30-60 second bursts. Add 1 ounce of polysorbate and 0.8 ounces of Secret Garden Fragrance Oil to the melted butters. Stir in thoroughly. Tip: Heat until the cocoa butter is about 75% melted, then let the residual heat melt it the rest of the way.

2

Allow the mixture to cool to about 85° F. If it's too hot, the salts won't suspend as well. Add 22 ounces of extra fine pink sea salt. Stir in thoroughly. The mixture should be a thick, gloopy consistency.

3

Pour or spoon the mixture into each cavity of the 9 Cube Silicone Mold. Fill it about 1/4 of the way up. Gently press rose petals on top. Place in the freezer to cool and harden completely for about 1-2 hours or up to overnight.

4

Once the bars are completely cool and firm, remove them from the mold. Store them in a cool and dark place - if they get too hot, they can melt. To use, apply to wet skin and gently scrub. Rinse and pat skin dry.
