Project Description

This recipe is made with velvet French gray sea salt. It leaves skin feeling smooth and moisturized.

This Sea Salt Body Polish is the recipe you’ve been looking for. Velvet French gray sea salt has an extremely fine texture that gently removes dead skin. Squalane oil and seaweed extract nourish, while polysorbate 80 ensures skin doesn't feel greasy after. After the Rain Fragrance Oil adds fresh notes of misty fog, violet blossom, and lily of the valley.

We added a touch of emulsifying wax to this recipe. It creates a slightly firmer texture and keeps the oil and salt mixed together. The scrub has a spreadable and soft consistency that we can't get enough of!

You will need:

  • Three 4 oz. Hexagon Jars
  • 16 oz. French Gray Sea Salt - Velvet
  • 3.5 oz. Squalane Oil
  • 1 oz. Seaweed Extract
  • 0.1 oz. Emulsifying Wax
  • 0.1 oz. Polysorbate 80
  • 2 mL After the Rain Fragrance Oil
  • About 1/8 tsp. Aqua Pearl Mica

Follow these steps:

1

In a small heat-safe container, add 3.5 ounces of squalane oil, 1 ounce of seaweed extract, and 0.1 ounce of emulsifying wax. Melt in the microwave using 30 seconds bursts.

2

Add 0.1 ounce of polysorbate 80 and 2 mL of After the Rain Fragrance Oil to the melted wax mixture. Stir well.

3

Weigh 16 ounces of velvet French gray sea salt into a large container. Break up any chunks with your fingers, or push it through a fine mesh strainer. Add about 1/8 tsp of Aqua Pearl Mica and stir in.

4

Add the melted oil mixture to the salt and stir until completely incorporated.

5

Scoop the scrub into the jars (or any other containers you prefer). Store in a cool and dry place. To use, apply to wet skin and scrub. Wash off. Enjoy!
