Project Description

This scrub is made with a combination of pink salt for color and sugar for exfoliation.

It's scented with Rose Quartz Fragrance Oil, which has notes of orange, sandalwood, and jasmine. Rosehip seed oil and shea butter add moisture, while polysorbate 80 and emulsifying wax ensure skin doesn't feel greasy.

We also added a touch of Rose Gold Mica to increase the pink color, but it can be left out if you prefer.

You will need:

  • Two White Ceramic jars*
  • 16 oz. Cane Sugar (from home)
  • 5 oz. Pink Sea Salt, Extra Fine
  • 4 oz. Rosehip Seed Oil
  • 1 oz. Shea Butter
  • 0.2 oz. Emulsifying Wax
  • 0.2 oz. Polysorbate 80
  • 4 mL Rose Quartz Fragrance Oil
  • About 1/8 tsp. Rose Gold Mica

*Note: This project was originally made with Frosted 6 oz Glass Jars, which have been discontinued. They have been substituted with White Ceramic Jars.

Follow these steps:

1

In a small heat-safe container, add 4 ounces of rosehip seed oil, 1 ounce of shea butter, and 0.2 ounces of emulsifying wax. Melt in the microwave using 30 second bursts.

2

Add 0.2 ounces of polysorbate 80 and 4 mL of Rose Quartz Fragrance Oil. Stir well.

3

Weigh 16 ounces of cane sugar and 5 ounces of extra fine pink sea salt into a large container. Break up any chunks with your fingers. Add about 1/8 tsp. of Rose Gold Mica and stir.

4

Add the melted oil mixture to the salt and sugar, and stir until completely incorporated.

5

Scoop the scrub into the jars (or any other containers you prefer). Store in a cool and dry place. To use, apply to wet skin and scrub. Wash off. Enjoy!
