Project Description

This recipe uses vegan candelilla wax instead of beeswax. Coconut oil, jojoba oil, and cocoa butter keep your lips moisturized and smooth.

Making vegan lip balm is easy with candelilla wax! It’s a plant-based product that has a firm and glossy consistency. We paired it with luxurious cocoa butter, coconut oil, and jojoba oil. The balm is also uncolored and unscented, which makes it great for sensitive skin.

You can use it during the day and apply a heavier layer at night to act as a hydrating lip mask.

You will need:

  • 10 Slidey Lip Tins
  • 1 oz. Cocoa Butter
  • 1 oz. Coconut Oil
  • 0.5 oz. Jojoba Oil
  • 0.2 oz. Candelilla Wax

Follow these steps:

1

In a small heat-safe container, add 1 ounce of cocoa butter, 1 ounce of coconut oil, 0.5 ounces of jojoba oil, and 0.2 ounces of candelilla wax. Place the container in the microwave and melt the balm using 30-60 second bursts. Remove from the microwave carefully, as the container will be very hot.
