Lemon Essential Oil: Our Lemon essential oil smells like a fresh sliced lemon without that cleaning product note that so many lemon oils have. Add a couple drops of baking soda or liquid castille soap and use as an eco-friendly cleaner around the house! As with most cold pressed citrus oils the lemon scent does not stick well in CP soap.
Warning: Strong Photo Sensitizer - should not be used in lip products. Use with caution in leave on products.
Distillation Method: Cold Pressed Country of Origin:USA Part: Outer peel Botanical name: Citrus Limon
NOTE: This low-flashpoint oil (118º F) will ship Ground Only, regardless of the shipping method you choose at checkout. It cannot ship outside the lower 48 U.S. states or USPS.

I love the Lemon essential oil, but I have noticed if kept for awhile it will turn kind of rancid. Could you tell me what I could do to keep it smelling great longer?
This lemon is nice but a bit one noted I guess; no complexity. But if that's what you want, this is it. Doesn't do well in CP soap but divine in other products.
Love this oil - I have used it in scrubs, melt and pour soaps of every base, my diffuser and much more. It is exactly what you would expect from lemon oil and you can even drop a drop in your water or tea for an extra zing. I love asking customers what they would like mixed with this for a summer fun soap - the combinations are so nice and my newest request is english rose and lemon - wonderful!
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Lia! I'm so glad you love our Lemon Essential Oil! Though we do not recommend ingesting any of our products. While some of our products are technically food (oils, salts, butters, etc...), they are stored in a warehouse that is not considered 'food-safe' by the FDA. Also, our employees are not required to follow food-safe standards.
I love the smell of lemon and this didn't disappont. It smells lovely! I tried using it along with lemongrass and lime in a CPsoap but even with adding a little extra it came out very weak. I still like to use it in scrubs and bath melts though and it works great in those.
I was expecting a stronger scent than it actually had, much like sliced lemons. When I mixed it into my M&P base, I even added an additional amount but unfortunately, the lemony fresh scent I was hoping for didn't come through.

Hi Cindy, thanks for your feedback regarding this fragrance. In general, we recommend .5 ounces fragrance oil per pound of melt and pour base, but if this was not strong enough you can add a little more to suit your preference. If you are interested in another lemon scent all together, I would recommend the
Sweet Meyer Lemon Fragrance Oil,or the Lemon Verbena Yankee Type Fragrance Oil.
