These candles are colored with wax dye flakes and feature a touch of glitter. Bramble Berry Fragrance Oil gives them a fruity yet sophisticated scent.

You can easily customize candles with dye flakes. A little goes a long way - just add a pinch to melted wax and stir. We chose purple and pink for these Berry Candles. They’re also made with a touch of Fine Silver Rainbow EcoGlitter and Bramble Berry Fragrance Oil, which is a sweet mix of raspberry, peony, and white woods.

Recipe

INGREDIENTS:
  • Golden Wax 464 - 2 lbs
  • HTP 93 Wick - 10 wick
  • Blackberry Purple Candle Dye Flakes - 1 oz
  • Blush Pink Candle Dye Flakes - 1 oz
  • Fine Silver Rainbow EcoGlitter - 1 oz
  • Bramble Berry Fragrance Oil - 2 oz
  • Wick Stickers - 10 Sheets (100 Stickers)
EQUIPMENT:
  • White Ceramic Jar - Small - 4 Jars

Instructions

You will need:

  • 4 Frosted 6 oz. Jars
  • 20 oz. Golden Wax 464
  • 4 HTP 93 Wicks
  • 1.6 oz. Bramble Berry Fragrance Oil
  • Blush Pink Candle Dye Flakes
  • Blackberry Purple Candle Dye Flakes
  • Fine Silver Rainbow EcoGlitter

Follow these steps:

1

Place a half-filled pot of water on the stove, bring it to a low simmer, and nest a pouring pitcher or other heat-safe container inside. Add 10 ounces of Golden Wax 464 and let it melt.

2

Add 2 generous pinches of Blush Pink Candle Dye Flakes and stir well. Tip: The melted wax will look much more saturated and lighten as it cools. Drip a small amount of wax onto a white surface like parchment paper to test the color.

3

Weigh out 0.8 ounces of Bramble Berry Fragrance Oil into a glass container. Once the wax reaches 185° F, remove it from the heat and slowly stir in the fragrance for 1-2 minutes to fully incorporate. Set aside until it cools to 150° F.

4

Place wick stickers or glue dots on the ends of 2 HTP 93 wicks and adhere firmly to the center bottom of 2 glass jars.

5

Once the wax is at 150° F, pour it slowly into the 2 prepped jars. Secure the wick with a clothespin (or other tool) and let it cool.

6

Once the candle is about 90% cooled and almost completely opaque, carefully sprinkle glitter on top of each one. Concentrate it around the outside of the candle and avoid the wick. Tip: Do not sprinkle the glitter when the wax is still melted or it clumps together. You can also add the glitter once the candle has cooled completely to be safe.

7

Repeat steps 1-6 for the remaining 2 candles, but use the Blackberry Purple Wax Dye Flakes instead.

8

Wait 12-24 hours to allow the candles to fully cool. Trim the wick to 1/4" above the wax. Allow the candles to cure for 3-5 days so the fragrance completely bonds with the wax. Burn your candle until it reaches a full melt pool for best results.
