Seashell Soap Project

Project Description
They’re scented with Sicilian Sea Breeze Fragrance Oil, which has notes of lemon, ocean mist, bergamot, and myrtle. It's the perfect fresh, citrus-y, beachy scent!
When swirling melt and pour soap, temperature is key. We recommend pouring into the mold when the soap is about 110 degrees F. If it is too hot, the colors will completely swirl together and become muddled. If the soap with the walnut shells is too hot the shells will sink to the bottom. Get more swirling tips here.
You will need:
- 4 Cavity Shell Silicone Mold
- 16 oz. White Melt and Pour Soap Base
- 4 oz. Aloe Vera Melt and Pour Soap Base
- 0.3 oz. Sicilian Sea Breeze Fragrance Oil
- Walnut Shells
- Caribbean Blue Color Block
- 99% Isopropyl Alcohol in a Spray Bottle
Follow these steps:

Chop 14 ounces White Vera Melt and Pour Soap Base and 7 ounces of Aloe Vera Melt and Pour Soap into small uniform pieces. Split the pieces of soap into 3 heat-safe containers, as listed below.
Container A: 7 oz. Aloe Vera Soap Base
Container B: 7 oz. White Soap Base
Container C: 7 oz. White Soap Base

Place a small piece of the Caribbean Blue Color Block into Container A, and melt in the microwave using 20 second bursts. Once the soap is melted, stir to mix in the color and add more colorant if desired. Add 0.1 oz. of Sicilian Sea Breeze Fragrance Oil and mix in thoroughly.

Melt container B and C in the microwave using 20-30 second bursts. To container B, add 1 tablespoon of walnut shells and stir in thoroughly. Add more if desired. Add 0.1 oz. of Sicilian Sea Breeze Fragrance Oil to each container and mix in thoroughly.

Check the temperature of all three containers. If the soap is too hot, the colors will muddle together and the walnut shells won't suspend in the soap. Once all three containers of soap are about 100-110 degrees F, begin pouring. We recommend pouring two colors at once so they meet in the middle, then pouring the third color.
Tip: Spray 99% isopropyl alcohol as you work to pop bubbles.

Continue pouring until each cavity of the mold is filled. Have fun, each bar will be unique!

Allow the soap to cool and harden for 3-4 hours. Remove from mold and enjoy!
