Description

Cranberry Realistic:This is an incredibly realistic Cranberry. It's not sweet and is very tart - like biting into an actual Cranberry. This scent is not light and fruity so we do recommend trying out the smallest 1 oz. size and soaping with it before purchasing any larger amounts. If you're looking for a more fruity Cranberry, try our Cranberry, Sweet. NOTE: This fragrance's flashpoint of 151 makes it unsuitable for gel candles.

This fragrance contains phthalates.

Flashpoint: This medium-flashpoint oil (151ºF) will ship FedEx only regardless of the shipping method you choose at checkout. It cannot be shipped by the USPS.

Smells fine, accelerated for me
This FO smells a bit odd OOB but smells nice and tart in soap. It's not my favorite fruit scent but it smells pretty much like a cranberry to me. I had significant acceleration but did not use full water and my oils were warm, but it was thick vaseline within seconds of stick blending and could only be hand stirred thereafter. Someone else in my group had no acceleration with it, but I don't know what the differences were. I know my recipe stays open for quite a while so perhaps temps and lye water concentrations were the main culprits. I've used this in combination with cranberry sweet with acceleration there too, soaping at RT and full water, so I suspect this does A some. No discoloration.

Hi Amy! I'm happy to hear you enjoy the smell of this fragrance! We always recommend whisking in your fragrance with a whisk instead of stick blending the fragrance. Stick blending in a fragrance can result in acceleration. In general, soaping colder helps decrease acceleration. I will be emailing you personally to help trouble shoot why you had trouble with your batch!

Quite realistic
Despite the only other review I went ahead and tried this in my all veggie cp soap (soaped at room temp) and I like it. It's only been 24 hrs but so far it smells just like cranberry juice. I will come back with an update after cure.

Not for CP
I'm a fan of the realistic tartness of this one OOB, but it morphed for me in CP. Became generically fruity and indistinct, kind of muddled. Would be nice for other products but I'm disappointed it was a no-go for soap.

If the Cranberry Realistic isn't working for you, there are a few other Cranberry scents we would suggest trying out. Cranberry Chutney, Cranberry Fig, Cranberry Pomegranate or the Cranberry Sweet Fragrance Oils would all be great for a Cranberry-based soap!
