High or Low pH Dye? Which one should I use?
LabColor Soap Dyes are categorized according to usage.
Low pH Dyes are suitable for lotions, creams, or Melt and Pour soaps which have a pH under 7. These include:
Low pH Blends - Pre-Blended, clean colors, arranged alphabetically.
Low pH Tropicals - Vibrant Pre-Blended colors
Countryside Blends - Sophisticated, softer country type colors,
High pH Dyes are suitable for any soaping method that uses Lye, such as Cold Process soaps. These include:
High pH Blends - Pre-Blended, clean colors, arranged alphabetically.
High pH Mists - Warm, earthy type shades.
High pH Olives - Specifically for soaps that cure to a yellowish, greenish tone
Basic 12 Colors - These 12 basic colors, are vibrant, clean colors that can be used in ALL Products (high or low pH). By following the Guides, they can be mixed into many more shades of colors.
