Too Hard to Use

I ordered these a while back and really haven't found a good use for them. They are incredibly hard to open. I slosh the contents and whack my fingers whenever I try to use them. It's a bummer since they are very attractive and would make an excellent presentation.

pretty but watch out

These are really pretty, and look like glass. I like that I can have them in the shower and not have to worry about either water getting in the product or glass breaking. But - the bail is really tight and hard to open and close. I have smashed my thumb several times before learning how to close the jar without injury. I would not be able to give this as a gift for fear of hurting someone. I do not believe I would order again even for personal use, but I will use the ones I have.

Excellent

I purchased these jars to hold my body scrubs and I have to say I was thoroughly delighted. They look like glass with the convenience of plastic airtight no leak and the price is right. They will continue to be on my reorder list. I wi use the 8oz for my bath salts.

low profile bail jar

Was excited to find these jars as I wanted an attractive jar for my sugar scrubs. I am disappointed - the oils are leaking, the opening and closing of the jar is cumbersome and I feel like I spent wayyyy too much for what I got.

Hi Debbie! I'm sorry these jars weren't your favorite. In our tests and recipes, we found they didn't leak, as seen in this How to Throw a DIY Sugar Scrub Party + Recipe post. However, your jar may not be working properly. I'll be emailing you personally to discuss this!

Disappointed, Dangerous to Open Bail Jar

I purchased this bail jar to use to package my homemade butters and to keep them fresher longer. However, every time I attempted to open the bail jar, the lid would pop up and out at me. It is very tricky to open without hurting your fingers. I wanted to like this product, but sadly I feel that it is too "dangerous" to open. I was considering using this bail jar to give away some of my butters to others, but I do not want them to struggle to open the jar and hurt themselves.

Hi Sylvia! Because bail jars are water tight, they require a firm seal. I would recommend placing one hand on the top of the lid, while opening with your other hand to avoid the lid popping up. If these bail jars are not your favorite, you may prefer a jar with a twist off lid. The 4 oz. White Twist Cap Jars would be perfect!
