I have used this fragrance for over 2 years with my cold press soaps and sugar scrubs that I make for my family and we all love it. The aroma stays longer in the scrub but works well with cold press too.
I use a 1/3 coconut, 1/3 olive and 1/3 palm recipe.
I love love love this scent BUT the scent fades after a while.
I am disappointed that is doesn't hold. It does behave well in cp.
I am going to try the (Cucumber Melon Cybilla ) this time.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Elaine! I'm so glad you love love love the scent of our Cucumber Melon Candle & Soap Fragrance Oil! Though, I'm sorry you were disappointed in how it held. We found this fragrance stuck in cold process soap when used at .8 oz per pound of soap, using our Handy Dandy Fragrance Calculator. For tips and tricks to help get that scent to stick check out our How to Prevent Scent Fading in Cold Process Soap blog post.
Yikes, where to start.....
After trying Cucumber Kiwi and LOVED that fragrance, I suppose anything else will no doubt pale in comparison. As was the case with this one.
Out of the bottle is smells "OK" I can smell both cucumber and the melon, although the scent is light even from the bottle.
I made both soap and lotion with his fragrance. Soap smells "ok". The lotion, all I can smell is cucumber. no melon whatsoever.
(I suppose next time, I could mix it with something sweeter like Baby Powder fragrance or even combine it with my favorite Cucumber Kiwi to fix it.)
Sorry Brambleberry, this one was a bit of a disappointment for me. :(
But like I mentioned before, after trying Cucumber Kiwi, anything else will pale in comparison.
I will be going back to my Cucumber Kiwi from now on.
Terah from Bramble Berry replies...Hi Marcie! I'm sorry this fragrance wasn't your favorite. We love the sweet but refreshing notes in the Cucumber Melon (Candle & Soap) Fragrance Oil! If you're looking for other fresh, fruity scents perfect for summer you may like Coconut Citrus Sorbet Fragrance Oil, Electric Lemonade Cocktail Fragrance Oil, or Ginger Lime Fragrance Oil.
I have a few bars of soap made with this scent from a year ago and the scent is still there. This is one of a few fragrances I've tried that actually seems to slow down trace and gives a very long time to swirl in any soap recipe I use. Use this one for your complex swirling soaps!
It's one of my favorite! Works really well in melt and pour and it smells so yummy! It does however, smell a bit like watermelon but I still love it. :)
