I think a more accurate description of this smell is patchouli and naggchampa with hints of the frankincense. Not the frankincense and musky myrrh I was hoping for. I wasn't confident when I opened the bottle and smelled it, but thinking it might morph in the cp soap and mellow out to really allow the frankincense to come through, but no. I would recommend this to someone making a strong hippie soap. Not personally a fan.
The Frankincense and Myrrh is a fabulous scent. It is soft and very reminiscent of Victorian romance type of "feelings". That is what I get. If it stays, I will be totally happy. I am using it in body butter and in melt and pour also in cp. I will let you know what results I get. And by the way, the musk side of it is amazing. Love it. It came in the Christmas sampler. I will have to order soon. I hope it is not too late.
Out of the bottle reminds me of Christmas tree, but that changes once you actually have it on. A little more smoky and woodsy than the other FM scent offered, somewhat barely there hint of peppery vanilla at the end. Almost, but not quite pathouli like in character. Reminds me of my favorite solid fragrance that was discontinued from crazy lilbellule and the poppies "Encens Mystic'. This is the more masculine of the two frankincense and Myrrhs, but could definitely be multi-sex. A very comforting yet seductive scent. This one seems to have a bit more staying power than the other version. I would say this one is complex enough that it would make a great stand alone fragrance, whereas the regular frankincense and myrrh has more room for blending and creativity. I think both of the Frankincense and Myrhh fragrances offered are worth having because they are different enough in character. that the two, in some ways, can't be compared.
I have used this in CP and loved how it turned out. It was very easy to work with and this scent is liked by both men and women. I love it and wish it wasn't being discontinued. I tried Brambleberry's other F&M a few years ago and did not care for it at all. I may have to try the reformulated version and see if I like it.
Oooh I love this scent it is so light and not strong at all. Ive had so many compliments on it. I just started making soap and this is the very first scent I got. Im going to make the body lotion and body spray to go with it. I make my own laundry detergent and I put this in it also. I bought the 16oz and will try to get some more. I hate that you will be discontinuing but hopefully I can find something simular
