So happy with this fragrance!

I've been looking forward to making Christmas soaps, and I just did my first test run with my homemade melt and pour base. I absolutely love how it turned out and will be making mooooooore! Someone mentioned that it smelled like Patchouli, but I really dislike Patchouli and love this fragrance. Thanks, Brambleberry!

I make the soap... the customers make the decisions

Sooooo, this was the fourth frank & myhhr that I tried from 3 separate soap companies (why weren’t any what they claimed to be?!). Thinking I’d have more of the same as before (heavy discoloration, mediocre scent, iffy reviews) I made a batch and waited for the verdict. Well people, the verdict is in and this scent is a customer winner. I made a total of 200 bars of my ‘3 gifts’ soap and as of today every single one is gone. Yes, you heard me right 200 bars of this one scent. (I didn’t even post any on etsy!) I used the fragrance calc and went for a number half way between med and strong. I even had to order an emergency 16oz bottle to keep up once I realized what was happening! Is does turn warm med brown but the half colored with TD remained lighter even after a 6 week cure. Yes it’s musk-y, earthy, and exotic, but wow, if money talks then this fragrance was screaming like a European Soccer stadium crowd. (or a ‘football’ stadium crowd, if you want to be that way). Even if you wouldn’t pick it for yourself, let your peeps speak. I think you’ll be glad you did!

No scent once cured

I loved the smell out of the bottle, it even smelled great two weeks later in my cp soap, then the scent disappeared. An entire bath of soap wasted since France did not stick. Very disappointed!

Hi Deborah! I'm so glad you loved our Frankincense And Myrrh Cybilla Fragrance Oil out of the bottle, though I'm sorry it did not last. We found this fragrance to cure to a wonderful exotic scent that sticks well in cold process soap when used at 0.8 oz per pound using our Handy Dandy Fragrance Calculator. For some tips to keep this from happening in the future, check out our How to Prevent Scent Fading in Soap blog post.

Not what I thought it would smell like.

I think a more accurate description of this smell is patchouli and naggchampa with hints of the frankincense. Not the frankincense and musky myrrh I was hoping for. I wasn't confident when I opened the bottle and smelled it, but thinking it might morph in the cp soap and mellow out to really allow the frankincense to come through, but no. I would recommend this to someone making a strong hippie soap. Not personally a fan.
