Clean up

I like this mold. Most molds with two part leave an edge to trim. What tool do you use to clean up the edges? Also, do you wear latex gloves to keep finger prints off of soap while cleaning up the soap or something else?

Hi Paul! I'm so glad you like our Rectangle 3D Mold! Our Clean Up Tool would be perfect for cleaning up any edges your soaps might have. Latex gloves would definitely help to keep off fingerprints, you can also use a piece of freezer paper when handling the soap to prevent this. I will email you personally to discuss this further.

light leakage

No matter how I put the elastics on, I get 1/2oz-1oz or so of leakage coming out along the edges. Not the worst, now that I have had a chance to figure out the amount of extra soap to put in. I do love the final product though, its my first attempt with melt and pour... and I really do like cold process so much more. Will attempt a few bars tomorrow with it.

Hi Betty! I'm sorry this product wasn't your favorite. In our tests and recipes, we've found the molds create a tight seal, as seen in this Pumpkin Soap on a Rope Tutorial. I'll be emailing you personally to discuss this!
