I think I'm likely overstretching my knowledge with this particular kit. It does have three options from beginner to intermediate/advanced. But of course, I tried the advanced first. I've only made two prior small batches of cold-process soap. Had my first run-in with soda ash on the second. Then I tried the swirl in this kit as my third. Also my first silicon mold. All went well until I tried to unmold and then found the soap to be VERY soft. I gave it another day to harden and then it came out of the mold OK. Still soft - but lovely swirls and smells wonderful. It is now curing but I was wondering if the extreme softness was because of the recipe itself (went right by the sheet supplied), the silicon mold, or both - or did I not get it to the right trace. I mean, after three days, the top was still fingerprint soft. Is that OK? Love the products, training, everything!
