Blushing Bouquet Bath Bomb Project
These Blushing Bouquet Bath Bombs bloom in the tub with a soft floral scent, creamy fizz, and a pop of color.
Blushing Bouquet Fragrance Oil adds a light, romantic floral scent, while Rose Pearl, Sunset Orange, and Yellow Micas create a warm, blooming color palette. Molded in flower clamshells, these bath bombs are perfect for gifting, spring projects, or elevating everyday bath time.
What You Need:
Instructions
You will need:
- 8 Flower Clamshell Molds
- 16 oz Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
- 8 oz Citric Acid
- Rose Pearl Mica
- Sunset Orange Mica
- Yellow Mica
- 1.5 oz. Coconut Oil
- .5 oz Blushing Bouquet Fragrance Oil
- 0.3 oz. Polysorbate 80
- Dropper
- Witch Hazel in Spray Bottle
Follow these steps:
1
In a large container, mix together 16 oz baking soda and 8 oz citric acid. To get rid of clumps, use a sifter or break them up with your fingers. Thoroughly stir the dry ingredients together.
2
Add 1.5 ounces of coconut oil to a small heat-safe container (if using a Bramble Berry heat-safe bag, you can melt this bag directly in the microwave) and melt using 30-second bursts. Add 0.3 ounces of polysorbate 80 and all of your fragrance to the melted coconut oil. Stir, then combine your wet and dry ingredients until it has the texture of wet sand.
3
Split your wet and dry mixture evenly into three smaller containers. Add a sprinkle of mica into each container, mixing and adding more until you’ve reached your desired color.
4
Firmly pack the wet and dry mixture into each flower mold. If your mixture is too dry, spritz with witch hazel to bind the dry ingredients. Allow the bath bombs to harden in the molds for at least 4-6 hours, or overnight, before unmolding.
5
To unmold, carefully press the back of the clamshell mold until the bath bomb releases. To create your paint, mix a sprinkle of mica with several spritzes of isopropyl alcohol until you reach a thick paste-like consistency. Using a fine paint brush, paint round centers onto each flower.
