Pink Petals Whipped Body Scrub Project
Skin-loving squalane oil and Aloe Butter are whipped together with Foaming Bath Butter to create a smooth base for the sugar. Foaming Bath Butter lathers when introduced to water, so the scrub washes off the skin without an oily residue. To use, apply the scrub to wet skin, gently scrub, and wash away.
A touch of Rose Pearl Mica gives the recipe a lovely pink color. It’s scented with Peony and Amberwood Fragrance Oil, which has notes of black currant, pink pepper, rhubarb, rose, violet, berries, jasmine, and patchouli. Notes of amber, sandalwood, cedarwood, musk, and iris add complexity.
What You Need:
Instructions
You will need:
- Three 8 oz. Bail Jars
- 16 oz. Foaming Bath Butter
- 2 oz. Aloe Butter
- 1 oz. Squalane Oil
- 8 mL Peony & Amberwood Fragrance Oil
- 20 oz. Granulated Sugar
- 1/4th tsp. Rose Pearl Mica
Follow these steps:
1
Add 16 ounces of Foaming Bath Butter and 2 ounces of aloe butter to a large mixing bowl. Turn your hand or stand mixer on low and break up the clumps of Foaming Bath Butter. Increase the speed and continue to whip until the butter is soft and there are no large chunks.
2
Add 1 ounce of squalane oil. Turn your mixer on low to slowly incorporate the oil. Once it's mostly incorporated, increase the speed and continue to whip the ingredients for about 30-60 seconds.
3
Add 8 mL of Pink Peony Fragrance Oil and 1/4 teaspoon of Rose Pearl Mica. Whip until they are completely combined.
4
Add 15-20 ounces of granulated sugar, depending on how much exfoliation you want. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula and continue to whip until all the ingredients are completely incorporated.
5
Scoop the scrub into the jars (or any other containers you prefer). We filled about 3 jars with a little bit left over. Store in a cool and dry place. To use, apply to wet skin and scrub. Wash off. Enjoy!
