Create 24 mini guest-sized candles, perfect for wedding or bridal shower favors! They also make great favors for baby showers, graduation parties, and more!

We chose Eucalyptus and Cotton Fragrance Oil for this project - a fresh, spa-like scent that your guests will love. However, feel free to swap with whichever scent fits the theme of your party or wedding. Like all container candles, for best performance, burn for 1 to 2 hours on the first burn to allow a full burn pool and prevent tunneling in future burns.

If you're looking for a more polished look, download our Printable Party Favor Candle Topper, perfect for a bridal shower, wedding, baby shower, and more.

Instructions

You will need:

  • 24 Gold Candle Tins
  • 24 CD-12 Wicks
  • Wick Stickers
  • 90 oz. Coconut Soy Candle Wax
  • 3.5 oz Eucalyptus & Cotton Fragrance Oil

Follow these steps:

1

Place a half-filled pot of water on the stove, bring it to a low simmer, and nest a pouring pitcher or other heat-safe container inside. Add 90 ounces of Coconut Soy Candle Wax. Allow the wax to melt. Note: if you do not have a pouring pitcher large enough to hold 90 ounces of wax, you can do this project in two parts by dividing the wax and fragrance in half.

2

Add all of the Eucalyptus & Cotton Fragrance Oil. Once the wax reaches 185° F, remove it from the heat and slowly stir in the fragrance for 1-2 minutes to fully incorporate. Set aside to cool.

3

Adhere a wick stickers to the bottom of the CD-12 wicks, and adhere to the bottom of each candle tin. When the wax cools to about 135° F, pour it into each candle tin. If needed, steady the wick using popsicle sticks or chopsticks.

4

Allow the wax to fully cool and harden for 4-6 hours. Trim the wick. Once the candles are completely firm, light and enjoy. Optional: add your free printable candle toppers! Be sure guests know to remove the toppers before burning. For the first burn, ensuring a full wax pool (usually 1 to 2 hours) helps to ensure future burns are smooth and even with no tunneling.
