Eucalyptus Mint Toilet Bomb Project
This project is the fizzy freshener you didn’t know you needed. You’ve heard of bath bombs—but have you ever tried their cousin, the toilet bomb?
These easy Eucalyptus Mint Toilet Bombs are a quick, easy way to keep your bathroom smelling clean and spa-like with every flush. Made with simple ingredients and scented with a crisp Eucalyptus Mint Essential Oil Blend, they fizz on contact with water to help freshen the bowl and leave behind an uplifting scent.
What You Need:
Instructions
You will need:
- 10 oz Sodium Bicarbonate
- 3.5 oz Citric Acid
- 3 mL Eucalyptus Mint Essential Oil Blend
Not included in project:
- Spray bottle with water and a few drops of dish soap
- 12-cavity ice cube tray
Follow these steps:
1
Combine the sodium bicarbonate and citric acid in a mixing bowl. Optional: sift the dry ingredients in to eliminate clumps.
2
Add a few drops (3 mL) of essential oil.
3
Combine a few drops of any liquid dish soap with a 1-2 ounces of water in a spray bottle and shake to combine. Use this spray to lightly spritz the powder and essential oil mixture while continuosuly mixing by hand. Be careful not to spray too much in one spot without mixing, or you will activate the sodium bicarbonate. Do this until the mixture is the texture of wet sand and can hold its shape.
4
Press the mixture firmly into your ice cube tray.
5
Let dry completely for at least 4 hours before unmolding carefully. Store in an air-tight container. To use, drop one toilet bomb into your toilet bowl and watch it fizz!
