Golden Pumpkin Candle Project
This project combines the warm, comforting scent of Golden Pumpkin and Cardamom Fragrance Oil with Coconut Soy Candle Wax. The sleek silver candle tins plus the Melon Orange Candle Dye Flakes create a striking Halloween look. Like all container candles, for best performance, burn for 1 to 2 hours on the first burn to allow a full burn pool and prevent tunneling in future burns.Â
What You Need:
Instructions
You will need:
- 4 Silver Candle Tins
- 16 oz. Coconut Soy Candle Wax
- 0.2 oz Melon Orange Candle Dye Flakes
- Trial Size Golden Pumpkin and Cardamom Fragrance Oil
- 4 CD-12 Wicks & Wick Stickers
Follow these steps:
1
Place a half-filled pot of water on the stove, bring it to a low simmer, and nest a pouring pitcher or other heat-safe container inside. Add 16 ounces of Coconut Soy Candle Wax. Allow the wax to melt.
2
Once the wax reaches 185° F, remove it from the heat and slowly stir in all of the fragrance for 1-2 minutes to fully incorporate. Set aside to cool.
3
Secure the wicks to the bottom of each container using a wick sticker.
4
Begin adding Melon Orange Dye Flakes in small pinches, stirring and swatching the color on a surface like a cutting board. Continue adding pinches of dye flakes until you get a swatch you’re happy with.
5
Once the wax is at 135° F, pour it slowly into the prepped tins.
6
Let the candles cool for 12-24 hours. Allow them to cure for 3-5 days so the fragrance completely bonds with the wax. Burn your candle until it reaches a full melt pool for best results. This typically takes 1 to 2 hours; if a full burn pool does not form on the first burning, tunnelling straight down into the wax can occur.
