Extra rich and creamy, this body butter is great for extremely dry winter skin. It’s scented with Oatmeal Milk and Honey Fragrance Oil, a cozy and crowd-pleasing fragrance.

Shea Butter, coconut oil, and oat oil work together to create a thick and luxurious formula that’s ideal for the cold, dry months.

Instructions

You will need:

  • Four 4 oz. Amber Glass Jars
  • 14 oz. Shea Butter
  • 4 oz Coconut Oil
  • 1 oz. Oat Oil
  • 6 mL Oatmeal Milk and Honey Fragrance Oil
  • 1 oz. Arrowroot Powder
  • Electric hand mixer or stand mixer
  • (Optional) Gold Bursting Beads
  • (Optional) Piping bag and tip

Follow these steps:

1

Place 14 ounces of shea butter into a large mixing bowl. Set a hand or stand mixer to low/medium and whip for about 30-60 seconds to break up any large chunks and to create a smoother texture.

2

Measure 4 oz of coconut oil and melt in the microwave until clear. Do not overheat.

3

Add 4 oz of melted coconut oil, 1 ounce of oat oil and 6 mL of Oatmeal Milk & Honey Fragrance. Turn the mixer on low to slowly incorporate the wet ingredients. Then, increase to medium/high and whip for about 60 seconds.

4

Add 1 tablespoon of arrowroot powder. Use a spatula or large spoon to fold the powder in. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and continue to whip the mixture for about 60 more seconds. The butter should be smooth and fluffy.

5

To achieve a slightly fluffier texture, place the bowl in the fridge for about 15-30 minutes and allow the butter to cool to about 70-75° F. Remove from the fridge and whip again for about 30-60 seconds.

6

Use a piping bag as pictured, or a spoon to transfer the body butter into jars. Enjoy!
