This solid perfume balm is made using Dark Velvet Fragrance Oil, our take on YSL's Black Opium.

The star of this project is our Lip Balm Base, which can be used to create solid perfumes as well as lip balms. We added a touch of Queen’s Purple Mica for a subtle violet hue and the Black Twist Tubes for a sleek look and easy application.

Instructions

You will need:

  • 10 Black Twist Tubes
  • 10 oz Lip Balm Base
  • .5 oz Dark Velvet Fragrance Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Queen's Purple Mica

Follow these steps:

1

In a small heat-safe container, add 10 oz of Lip Balm Base. Place the container in the microwave and melt the balm using 30-60 second bursts. Remove from the microwave carefully, as the container will be very hot.

2

Add up to .5 oz of Dark Velvet Fragrance Oil, stirring thoroughly to combine. Sprinkle a tiny bit of Queen's Purple Mica (up to .5 tsp) until you've achieved your desired hue.

3

Pour carefully into the bottom of the Black Twist Tubes and let harden for several hours. Once the tubes have cooled, remove the cap and clear plastic dome. Twist from the bottom and enjoy!
