Follow these steps:

MAKE THE EMBEDS

1

Chop 12 ounces of LCP White Melt and Pour Base into small pieces, place them in a heat-safe container, and melt in the microwave using 20 second bursts. Place the Mini Moon Silicone Column Mold and the Mini Star Silicone Column Mold into a container to position the mold upright. Carefully pour the soap into the molds. Allow it to fully cool and harden in the molds for about an hour. Unmold and clean up the sides of the embed if necessary.

2

Remelt the remaining white soap base in the microwave and pour it into the Mini Star Silicone Column Mold. Allow to fully cool and harden for at least an hour. Remove from the mold and clean up the sides of the embed if necessary. Trim all 3 embed molds to fit inside the 10" Silicone Loaf Mold and set aside.

MAKE THE BASE

COLORANT PREP: In separate containers, disperse 1 teaspoon of black oxide, Queen's Purple Mica, and titanium dioxide into 1 tablespoon of sunflower or sweet almond oil (or any other liquid oil). Use a mini mixer to help get rid of any clumps. In separate containers, mix about 1 teaspoon of Super Pearly White Mica, Gold Sparkle Mica, and Queen's Purple Mica with 1 tablespoon of 99% isopropyl alcohol. Set aside.

FRAGRANCE OIL PREP: In a glass container, measure 1.75 ounces of Night Violet Fragrance Oil. Set aside.

SAFETY FIRST: Suit up for safe handling practices. That means goggles, gloves, and long sleeves. Make sure kids, pets, other distractions, and tripping hazards are out of the house or don’t have access to your soaping space. Always soap in a well-ventilated area.

1

Slowly and carefully add 4.8 ounces of lye to 10.7 ounces of distilled water and gently stir until the lye has fully dissolved and the liquid is clear. Set aside to cool. Optional: Add 2 teaspoons of sodium lactate to help the bars harden more quickly.

2

Fully melt and combine 8.5 ounces of coconut oil, 8.5 ounces of olive oil, 8.5 ounces of palm oil, 5.1 ounces of sunflower oil, 1.7 ounces of cocoa butter, and 1.7 ounces of shea butter. Set oils aside.

3

Add the following amount of colorant to 5 separate containers. Each container will be about 300 mL.

  • Container A (Black) - 1/2 tsp. dispersed black oxide
  • Container B (Dark Purple) - 1/2 tsp. dispersed Queen's Purple Mica + 1/8 tsp. dispersed black oxide
  • Container C (Purple) - 1 tsp. Queen's Purple
  • Container D (Light Purple) - 1/2 tsp. Queen's Purple Mica + 1/2 tsp. titanium dioxide
  • Container E (Lightest Purple) - 1/4 tsp. Queen's Purple Mica + 1 tsp. titanium dioxide

4

Once the lye water and oils have cooled to 130° F or below (and are ideally within 10 degrees of each other), add the lye water to the oils and stick blend until thin trace. Add 1.75 ounces of Night Violet Fragrance Oil and whisk in thoroughly.

5

Split the soap evenly into the 5 containers with color - each one will hold about 300 mL. Whisk thoroughly.

6

Stick blend the black soap until it's a medium trace. Pour it into the mold and tap on the counter to get rid of bubbles. Use a small spoon to spread the soap evenly throughout the mold, but don't worry about the layer being straight.

7

Stick blend the dark purple soap to a medium trace and gently pour it into the mold on top of the black soap. Use a spoon to spread it evenly, then place the moon embed into the soap on one side of the mold.

8

Check the consistency of the purple soap. If it's not a medium to thick trace, stick blend it using short bursts Gently pour the purple soap into the mold, being sure to completely cover the moon embed. Place the star embed into the soap on the other side of the moon embed. Tap the mold on the counter to help get rid of bubbles.

9

Check the consistency of the light purple soap. If it's not a medium to thick trace, stick blend it using short bursts.

Gently pour the light purple soap into the mold, being sure to completely cover the star embed.

10

Check the consistency of the lightest purple soap. If it's not a medium to thick trace, stick blend it using short bursts.

Gently pour the lightest purple soap into the mold and use a spoon to evenly disperse it throughout the mold. Place the last star embed into the soap on the opposite side of the first star and on the same side as the moon.

11

Use a spoon to texture the top of the soap - we gave ours a subtle peak.

12

Use a paint brush to reincorporate the micas and alcohol. Gently flick the micas onto the top of the soap. Continue this process for all 3 colors.

13

Once you're happy with the effect, allow the soap to stay in the mold for 3-4 days. Unmold and cut into bars. Allow the soap to cure and harden for 4-6 weeks and enjoy!
