Holiday Candy Rebatch Soap Project
Red and green soap spheres tumble through every slice of this festive loaf, like a candy dish in soap form. Clear melt-and-pour embeds are tinted with Color Blocks. They’re folded into creamy Luxury Rebatch Soap Base and topped with a shimmer of Snowflake UltraSparkle Mica.
The scent is Peppermint Cocoa Fragrance Oil, a maker favorite with notes of chocolate, vanilla bean, and cool mint. Rebatch is a forgiving technique with no lye handling at the project stage, so it’s a great way to make a statement holiday bar. Every cut shows something different, which makes these bars perfect for gifting, stocking stuffers, and holiday markets.
What You Need:
Instructions
1
Chop and melt 16 oz. LCP Clear Melt & Pour Soap Base in the microwave using 20 second bursts. Split the melted soap evenly into two containers.
2
Add shavings of Perfect Red Color Block to one container until it reaches a rich red. Add shavings of Green Chrome Color Block to the other until it reaches a deep green.
3
Pour the soap into the Small 9 Ball Silicone Mold cavities, spritzing with rubbing alcohol after each pour to disperse bubbles. Once fully cool and hard, remove the embeds. This makes 72 embeds, 36 of each color. Fewer works too, the finished bar will just show less embed detail.
4
In a crock pot or double boiler, heat 2.5 lbs. Luxury Rebatch Soap Base with 4 oz. distilled water over low-medium heat. Stir frequently until the soap reaches the consistency of mashed potatoes. This step takes patience.
5
Set aside 10 embeds (5 of each color) for the top of the soap.
6
Once the soap is smooth, soft, and still thick, turn off the heat. Add the full bottle of Peppermint Cocoa Fragrance Oil and the remaining embeds, then stir until fully mixed.
7
Spoon the rebatch into the 10 inch Silicone Loaf Mold, tapping the mold firmly on the counter every few additions to release air pockets. Add a layer of red and green embeds. Continue until the mold is full.
8
Mound the soap toward the center and press down any embeds that show through. Sprinkle the top with Snowflake UltraSparkle Mica.
9
Press the 10 reserved embeds firmly into the center of the soap so they stay in place.
10
Let the soap sit in the mold for 4 to 5 days. Unmold, cut into bars, and cure for at least a week. This allows moisture to evaporate, creating a harder, longer-lasting bar.
