Wrap yourself in comfort with this cozy Warm Flannel Candle Project.

The star of this project is the Warm Flannel Fragrance Oil, a blend of soft musk, creamy vanilla, and subtle wood notes — just like your favorite flannel on a chilly day. This easy DIY candle project is perfect for fall and winter crafting, and it makes a thoughtful handmade gift. Like all container candles, for best performance, burn for 1 to 2 hours on the first burn to allow a full burn pool and prevent tunneling in future burns.

Instructions

You will need:

  • 2  Glossy Candle Jars
  • 16 oz. Coconut Soy Candle Wax
  • Trial Size Warm Flannel Fragrance Oil
  • CD-20 Wicks
  • Wick Stickers

Follow these steps:

1

Place the entire 1-pound bag of Coconut Soy Wax in the microwave and melt until pourable - this may take several minutes. Place a half-filled pot of water on the stove, bring it to a low simmer, and nest a pouring pitcher or other heat-safe container inside. Pour the entire bag into the pouring pitcher.

2

Secure the wicks to the bottom of each container using a wick sticker.

3

Once the wax reaches 185° F, remove it from the heat and slowly stir in all of the fragrance for 1-2 minutes to fully incorporate. Set aside until it cools to 135° F.

4

Once the wax is at 135° F, pour slowly into the prepped jars. Center the wicks with a clothespin or other tool.

5

Let the candles cool for 12-24 hours. Allow them to cure for 3-5 days so the fragrance completely bonds with the wax. For the first burn, burn your candle until it reaches a full melt pool for best results. This usually takes 1-2 hours.
