Description
Elevate your bath and body creations with Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSA); the DIY artisan’s choice for luxurious, long-lasting bubbles. This gentle, coconut and palm-derived powder is ideal for crafting bath bombs, solid bubble bath bars, bath truffles, and bath salts that transform the tub into a bubbly delight. Comes in a 28 ounce jar for easy use and storage.
Why DIY makers love SLSA:
-
Creates rich, foaming bubbles for a decadent bath experience
-
100% plant-based and vegan; perfect for naturally-derived formulations
-
Easy to use: Ideal for bath bombs, truffles, and shampoo bars
-
Comes in a convenient, resealable jar for mess-free storage and use and for keeping the SLSA clump-free.
Usage tips:
-
For rinse-off products, to increase foam and bubbles, usage rates start at 3-20% of your batch weight for bubbling bath bars, bath salts, and truffles. Can be used up to 50% in solid products, like shampoo bars.
-
Wear a mask when handling SLSA powder, as it can be irritating to the nose and throat
-
When doing 100% powder blends, mix in the SLSA powder slowly and gently. It is lighter than air and can tickle the nose (especially if not wearing a mask).Â
-
SLSA can be used across a wide pH range (4.5–7.5)
-
While SLSA improves oil and color dispersal in bath bombs and foaming bath products, which helps to prevent oil slicks or color slicks around the tub, Polysorbate 80 is also helpful with this.
-
If whipping SLSA, add to wet ingredients to help with the 'poof' that happens with this lighter-than-air product and be sure to break up clumps before whipping.Â
Join DIY artisans who rave about its lush, plush bubbles; try SLSA in your next bath and body project and see the difference!
